Greg Williams (NASA, Ret.): Space Exploration in the Apollo Era, Today, and Tomorrow
"If they can put a man on the moon..." The Apollo moon landings were a signal national and human accomplishment, changing our view of what might be possible. The story of Apollo is thus a human story-- a culture-shaping experience in which we all share. In this presentation, we will be freshly amazed at the ingenuity, courage, and faith of those who put man on the moon, and consider what their achievement means for us half a century later.
Are Science and Christian faith in conflict? How does a scientist bridge the gap between their understandings of science and faith in God? Is it possible for a person to actually come to faith THROUGH their study of science? We will hear about the faith journeys of several prominent scientists, from chemists to astrophysicists to geneticists.

View & Discussion: The Privileged Planet
"The Privileged Planet"The Privileged Planet shows that this earth is far more significant than virtually anyone has realized. Contrary to the scientific orthodoxy, it is not an average planet around an ordinary star in an unremarkable part of the Milky Way. A staggering array of evidence is presented that demonstrate that our planet is exquisitely fit not only to support life, but also to give us the best possible view of the universe as if Earth were designed both for life and for scientific discovery. You are taken on a scientific odyssey from a history of tectonic plates, to the wonders of water and solar eclipses, to our location in the Milky Way, to the laws that govern the universe, and to the beginning of cosmic time.
