"Faith, Culture and Worldview:
Making Sense of Our World
"
The Bible tells us how God related to the people of Israel, and their neighbors, in ways specific to their cultures. In today's global society, we too interact with people from other cultures and backgrounds. How can we do this well? In this course, we will explore together how to better understand and make sense of these differences in our world, and to appreciate how the Kingdom of God both interacts with and transcends culture. With the help of several presenters, including Terry and Nancy Sullivan (Wycliffe Bible Translators) and Wayne Pelly (frequent short-term missionary to Africa)*, we will together seek how we may rightly relate to our fellow human beings, who, although very different from us, are also created in God's image.
*Note: Only the presentations by Wayne Pelly ("A Case Study on Gender: Its Creation, Fall & Redemption") are available below as video.
